Hi, I'm Michelle.

My passion and purpose as a therapist is to walk alongside you on your journey to healing, self-acceptance, and fulfillment. But first, I think it’s important to tell you a little bit about my story.

My journey to the world of healing and personal development was not a straight path. I struggled with low self-esteem for years and had this perpetual feeling that I wasn’t good enough. This self-doubt cast a shadow over my dreams and opportunities, holding me back from pursuing my aspirations. I vividly remember the hesitation and fear that enveloped me when applying for university in my early 20s—fear of rejection, fear of failure.  Successes in work and school felt unearned, leaving me feeling like a fraud.

It was in those moments of struggle when I embarked on my healing journey. Therapy opened the door to a deeper understanding of myself, and my exploration into plant medicine, including ayahuasca and Iboga, catalyzed profound personal transformation. A commitment to doing deep, therapeutic work and the intentional use of plant medicines helped me transform my life. I’ve made great strides in nurturing compassion, acceptance, and love for all of me — especially the parts of me that hold doubt. While this journey of self-discovery and acceptance is an ongoing one, I find myself leaning into humility with greater ease as I learn — and then shed a light on — the parts of me that once hid in shadow.

Armed with a professional background in the field of Early Childhood Education and Development, and a decade-long experience as a wellness mentor, I blend scientific knowledge, clinical skills, and a heart-centered approach to healing.

Grounded in the principles of Client- Centred Practice, I specialize in helping people find meaning and self understanding, integrating techniques and theory from Internal Family Systems, Somatic Attachment Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, among others, to provide a comprehensive and  tailored healing experience.

I'm also trained in clinical hypnotherapy, which I find useful in bypassing the critical mind and working directly with the unconscious mind to increase the effectiveness of the therapeutic process. By acknowledging and respecting the complexity of who we are as physical, psychological and energetic beings, my intention is to create a healing space that supports your wellbeing on all levels.

Through my own unfolding, I've come to appreciate the power of self-compassion and acceptance, and the transformation that emerges from courageously turning towards our shadows.

My favorite part was Michelle herself. The way she shows up and her personality and relatability.

My biggest transformation was how much more in tune I got when anxiety would come up and then having tools available to regulate in the moment rather than just feeling helpless about it. As well as the gradual decrease I got in general anxiety by doing the “homework” consistently which also helped me remember the regulating tools in the times my anxiety and mind took over.

What surprised me the most is was the various different ways and approaches Michelle has to work with each individual, incorporating various different modalities and not just being stuck on one technique and belief.

I would recommend Michelle to anybody struggling with anxiety that is ready to make changes actively and wants to learn about the nervous system and how it works as well as get plenty of different ways you can learn to regulate your system so you can figure out which works best for you.
